Katie Vincent

Katie (she/her/hers) graduated with an A.B. in Psychology from Harvard University in 2019. She worked as an undergraduate in the Laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience at Boston Children’s Hospital with Dr. Charles Nelson. She wrote her senior honors thesis on the longitudinal associations among parental stress, children’s internalizing behaviors, and children’s frontal EEG alpha power and asymmetry. Katie is interested in studying the effects of early adversity on socioemotional development, with a particular focus on susceptibility to developmental psychopathology. She is also drawn to how protective factors, such as responsive parenting, might buffer the effects of early life stress. Outside of research, Katie loves spending time virtually and in person with friends and family, especially her four-legged niece, Roadie, and listening to any and all indie music.
